I was a very happy man when I used to play tennis. I could invite my friends for a game secure in the knowledge that I was a much better player and could easily beat them. This was till circa 2009.

MY COVETED ‘ARMY’ TAG

I remember the first time I was yelled at -- I was about five years old and obviously not very wise about properly excusing myself from the dining table after a lovely meal of chole and bhature (my favourite dish at that time).

It all started one Sunday afternoon in the summer of 2003. I looked at myself in the mirror and hated what I saw -- a big paunch, layered double chin and an almost 100-kg frame. I do not understand nightlife. In fact, even if I did, my work would not allow me to experience it much. I work late most nights and only occasionally get a chance to see what is popularly defined as ‘nightlife’ in Mumbai.

What’s advertising without fun?

In my 20 years of advertising experience, I have come across many hilarious situations related to my colleagues’ offbeat or unconventional characteristics, which has amused me to no end.
