Speaking about the trends of 2024, Chandan said "In 2024, we saw a massive increase in the use of AI and Generative AI technologies, which transformed the quick-commerce (Q-commerce) landscape. These innovations drove hyper-personalization, streamlined campaign rollouts, and significantly improved customer support through AI-powered chatbots, predictive analytics, and data-driven insights. Additionally, hyper-local and personalized marketing became a cornerstone for connecting with India's diverse regional audiences. With Q-commerce growing by $3 billion in FY24, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities contributed immensely to Zepto's growth. The surge in digital adoption, along with consumers’ increasing demand for speed and convenience, showcased how ready they were to embrace Q-commerce for everyday essentials. We also launched several memorable campaigns in 2024, including Father’s Day, Zepto Turns 3, and Chingari Box for Diwali, which resonated deeply with consumers, reinforcing our brand identity."
Speaking about the trends of 2025, Chandan said, "In 2025, AI-powered hyper-personalization will take centre stage, allowing brands to create bespoke, tailored experiences for consumers, enhancing engagement and customer loyalty. Sustainability will also transition from being a ‘value-add’ to a core business strategy, with initiatives such as eco-friendly packaging, carbon-neutral operations, and EV fleets gaining widespread adoption. The lines between online and offline shopping will blur as omnichannel experiences evolve, offering consumers more convenience and choice. Voice-enabled commerce is expected to disrupt the market by enabling hands-free shopping experiences, while private labels will continue to dominate. Brands will increasingly focus on niche, consumer-centric innovations to differentiate themselves in an increasingly crowded market."
