Manappuram Finance and its subsidiary Manappuram Home Finance have announced four senior leadership appointments across business, taxation, finance and technology functions.
As part of the leadership expansion, Rakesh Sharma has been appointed Co-Chief Executive Officer of Manappuram Home Finance Limited. With more than 23 years of experience in the BFSI sector, Sharma has previously held leadership roles at Cent Bank Home Finance, Tyger Housing, AAVAS Financiers, IIFL, Citi Financial and ICICI Home Finance.
For taxation and compliance, Surendra K Nayar has joined as Head – Taxation at Manappuram Finance, reporting to Group CFO Buvanesh Tharashankar. Nayar brings over 35 years of experience, having worked with institutions including Aditya Birla Finance, DBS Bank and Citibank. The company stated that outgoing Head – Taxation Babu MV will move into a Senior Tax Advisory role.
To strengthen its technology and digital transformation agenda, the group has appointed Easwaran Narayanan as Group Chief Technology Officer. Narayanan has over 25 years of experience across Equitas Small Finance Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Additionally, Manish Mohan has been appointed Head – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), also reporting to the Group CFO. Mohan has worked across institutions including JPMorgan, Citibank, Standard Chartered, RBS, ABN AMRO and Axis Bank, and brings experience in financial planning, strategy and performance management.
