Being a CEO & Co-Founder of one of the leading AdTech companies, one might assume that my interests and motivations lie within the tech industry. Yes, Tech innovation fuels my professional drive, but it’s cricket that provides a unique form of inspiration, resilience, and strategic thinking that transcends the boundaries of the cricket pitch.
Spending the weekend with pads on the cricket pitch with my group of friends gives me the energy that drives me through the weekdays and ace the entrepreneurial game. Like any other Indian kid, I too fell in love with the game in the hot summers. from the streets to the school grounds. I was smitten by the game’s intensity, strategy, and the camaraderie it fosters. Little did I know then that the lessons I absorbed from cricket would serve as the bedrock of my entrepreneurial journey.
On the cricket field or off it, setbacks are inevitable. Whether it’s a bad decision, a missed opportunity, or an unexpected turn of events. The game teaches the ability to bounce back from adversity. It has instilled in me the resilience to face challenges head-on and keep pushing forward with more focus and determination.
Working in a diverse emphatic work environment at Nokia honed my strategic thinking. The game has taught me the importance of strategy, teamwork, and the value of meticulous planning—skills that are indispensable. Every opportunity in life comes with a unique set of challenges that require adaptability to handle different scenarios and teach new things. Sometimes, a situation requires a reverse sweep rather than playing a straight drive—the shot I love. Every interaction teaches new things.
