Leo Burnett India has secured three shortlists at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025, with recognitions spread across both the Engagement and Entertainment categories.
The campaign ‘Oreo History in the Baking’ for Oreo has earned two shortlists:
- One in the Engagement category, under the Direct - Launch/Relaunch subcategory
- Another in the Entertainment category, under Entertainment Lions for Sports - Fan Engagement/Distribution Strategy subcategory
These recognitions reflect the campaign’s performance in both brand activation and entertainment-driven storytelling formats, showcasing its ability to connect with audiences through launch-led and sports-centric creative work.
In a separate entry, Leo Burnett Mumbai’s campaign ‘Takeoff Takeover’ for Cathay Pacific Airways has been shortlisted in the Engagement category, under the Media - Use of Outdoor subcategory. The campaign has been acknowledged for its strategic use of outdoor media in delivering a high-impact message.
Together, the three shortlists span a mix of sectors and objectives, reinforcing Leo Burnett Mumbai’s cross-category creative versatility at Cannes Lions this year.

Cannes Lions has announced the shortlists in the Craft, Entertainment and some for Engagement categories. The Craft shortlist includes entries under Design, Digital Craft, Film Craft, and Industry Craft subcategories. The Entertainment category has revealed shortlists for all subcategories including Entertainment, Entertainment Lions for Gaming, Entertainment Lions for Music, and Entertainment Lions for Sports.
So far, shortlists from four subcategories within the Engagement category have been announced: Direct, Media, PR, and Social & Creator.
The Cannes Lions Awards Shows will be held from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20, 2025, with more shortlists expected in the coming days.
