Amagi, a global SaaS leader in cloud-based broadcast and streaming TV technology, has announced the appointment of Emma Whitmore as Senior Vice President of Sales, EMEA. With over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership across media and technology, Whitmore steps into the role at a time of strong growth and expanding opportunity in the region.
Her appointment follows Amagi’s acquisition of Tellyo last year, signalling the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding its footprint in Europe and the Middle East. Tellyo is known for its expertise in live event production and social media content creation—aligning with Amagi’s cloud-native offering for content owners, broadcasters, and streaming platforms.
“I’m excited to join at a time of rapid growth and innovation across EMEA. This is a unique opportunity to work even more closely with our customers, expand our local presence, and ensure we’re delivering solutions that truly reflect the needs of today’s broadcasters and content owners,” said Emma Whitmore, SVP of Sales, EMEA at Amagi.
Cloud-first strategies are gaining traction across EMEA, especially in live sports, news, and entertainment. In her new position, Whitmore will report to Dan Marshall, EVP, Global SaaS Sales, and work closely with partners in the region to deliver scalable, efficient solutions that align with shifting industry demands.
“Emma brings a combination of deep industry expertise and focus on execution,” said Dan Marshall. “As we continue scaling across EMEA, her leadership will be pivotal in expanding our regional impact, strengthening partner relationships, and delivering even greater value to our customers.”
Beyond her corporate leadership, Whitmore is actively engaged in media innovation and mentorship. She contributes to the UK Government’s Future of TV working group, serves on the Digital TV Group Council, and played a key role in a TM Forum Catalyst project centred on sustainability. She also mentors women in the industry and volunteers as a school governor and youth hockey coach.
Emma Whitmore succeeds Sri Hari Thirunavukkarasu, who led EMEA sales for more than a decade. Sri Hari will relocate to India to take on strategic projects within the CEO’s office.
“It has been a memorable stint building the Amagi footprint in Europe, and working very closely with customers to drive cloud adoption and business transformation,” said Sri Hari. “With the appointment of a seasoned industry professional like Emma, I am fully confident that our customers and partners in the region are in good hands and will benefit from her customer-first approach.”
