Aoneha Tagore, Head of Editorial at Spotify India, has announced her departure from the music streaming platform after a tenure of two and a half years. She shared the news via a LinkedIn post, reflecting on her journey and contributions during her time at the company.
At Spotify India, Tagore played a pivotal role in steering the platform’s editorial music strategy, combining cultural insight, data, and creativity to curate impactful music experiences.
Her extensive experience in the media and music industry includes leadership positions at Viacom18, where she worked across popular youth and music channels such as MTV, MTV Beats, and VH1. She also held senior roles at music broadcaster 9XM and a number of major radio networks.
Tagore’s announcement has drawn attention across the industry, with many recognising her significant contributions to Spotify's localised editorial direction.
She stated in her post, “I was responsible for shaping editorial music strategy, through cultural insights, data and creativity.”
As of now, there is no official word on her next move.
