Times Network has announced a major restructuring of its news revenue team for FY27 as part of its strategy to accelerate growth and strengthen its market position. The move aims to make the organisation more agile, focused, and opportunity-driven while expanding business across key verticals.
In an internal communication, Ashish Sehgal, CEO of Times TV Network and Chief Growth Officer of Times Media & Entertainment, highlighted that the evolving media landscape, rapid shifts in consumption patterns, and increasing pressure on brand effectiveness require teams to move faster and adopt a stronger customer-first mindset. The restructuring is designed to improve alignment, accountability, and collaboration across teams while unlocking new business opportunities, he said.
Under the new structure, three key leaders will drive the revenue strategy across different business segments.
Gaurav Dhawan, Chief Revenue Officer, will continue to lead the Ad Sales (FCT Corporate Business) across the network’s channels. As part of the restructuring, Gaurav Nagar will transition into the role of Zonal Head reporting to Dhawan, with Kaushik Bagchi (North) and Niraj Malhotra (West) reporting to him. Nagar will also act as the national channel custodian for Times Now, Times Now World, ET Now and ET Now Swadesh.
The Times Now Navbharat team will report directly to Dhawan until a new leadership structure is finalised.
Dhawan will also lead a newly created strategic vertical called Network Alliance, which will focus on expanding scale and driving incremental revenue. The vertical will work on building media partnerships and smaller agency alliances across the country, exploring barter and brand capital opportunities, collaborating with print companies, increasing business from other Group B companies, and tapping into new categories in intellectual property (IP) and brand solutions. Kunal Sharma continues to be the region head from West.
Edwin Crasto will serve as Zonal Head with Prajit Menon (West) and Prateek Sharma (North) reporting to him as region heads. Vigil Varghese will lead the South region, while both Crasto and Varghese will report to Dhawan. Ipsita will take over as Branch Head for the East region, managing both FCT Corporate and Network Alliance responsibilities and reporting to Dhawan.
Gaurav Dewani, who recently rejoined the organization, will lead innovation-driven revenue initiatives. He will head the BCA Corporate Business (National), Brand Solutions and IP Expansion, along with the PSU Business. Under his leadership, Surbhi Khandelwal will oversee the West region, Aanchal Johar the North region, and Rahul Chandran the South region. Ipsita will also manage the East region for the BCA Corporate business, reporting to Dewani.
Meanwhile, Rajesh Madampath will continue to lead and expand the Government Business – States and Central. His mandate will focus on scaling the segment and delivering strong growth. Neeru Malhotra will oversee the North and East regions, while Saira Samuel will handle the South and West regions as zonal heads. Madampath will also support monetization of group properties such as Pickleball on a project basis.
Additionally, the Times Influence team will support these verticals with ideation, identifying new opportunities, and execution support.
