The master mural was unveiled at the VELS Trade & Convention Centre in Chennai by film personalities. It incorporates 50 messages from fans across India. The event also included an exhibition of artworks reflecting different phases of the Superstar’s on-screen career.
"As one of India’s leading paint companies with a legacy of 100 years, we understand the trust reposed on us and therefore Berger Paints is proud to acknowledge this phenomenal achievement by our Superstar in his extraordinary 50-year journey which has seen his fanbase increase not only within Tamil Nadu, but across India and spread across international borders. The murals being developed to celebrate this milestone have been inspired by the rich & vibrant cultural tapestry of Tamil Nadu, the foundation of his legacy." said Mr. Abhijit Roy, Managing Director & CEO, Berger Paints India.
After the Chennai unveiling, the murals will travel across Tamil Nadu as part of a 'Mural Yatra'. Supported by Berger Paints’ retail network, the exhibition will be displayed in various neighbourhoods across the state. According to the company, more than 2,000 dealers, 22,000 applicators and over 1,000 engineers participated in the initiative.
Berger Paints said the campaign reflects its presence across India and its focus on promoting colour through its decorative paints, protective coatings and related products.
