Why wait for a milestone to buy diamond jewellery when the urge to sparkle can strike at any time? beYon, the lab-grown diamond jewellery brand from the House of Titan, is making a case for guilt-free indulgence with its first festive campaign, ‘Ye Toh Hona Hi Tha’.
Conceptualised by Chalk & Chini, the campaign challenges the idea that fine jewellery must be tied to special occasions, rituals or investment. Instead, it taps into the festive spirit of Dussehra, Diwali, Pujo and Navratri to position jewellery as something people can choose simply because they want it.
The campaign features Sheeba Chadha, Namita Dubey and Plabita Borthakur in a series of light-hearted films built around a ‘desire chain’. Set to the nostalgic track ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’, the films draw on familiar neighbourhood interactions and multi-generational family dynamics. One person spots a piece of jewellery, another is tempted by its sparkle, and the desire spreads from one person to the next.
With lines such as “Roz kuch naya, ye toh hona hi tha!” and “Designs itne acche, ye toh hona hi tha!”, the films use everyday humour to show how easily admiration can turn into indulgence.
Shyamala Ramanan, Business Head, beYon – House of Titan, said, “There's a moment we all know: you see something sparkle across the room, on a neighbour, an aunt, a stranger at a party, and before you've had time to think, you want it. What we love about the films is how this moment and this desire travels. Someone sees a sparkle, wants it, and lights up the person next to them. beYon is built to make that chain reaction possible, so that giving in feels like the most natural thing in the world. Laboratory-grown diamonds make that so much easier and more joyful, with designs set in pure gold, you fall for at first sight and never need to think twice about. That is the joy of indulgence beYon exists to create.”
Isha Sahu, Founder and Creative Director, Chalk & Chini, said, “Festive advertising in jewellery often leans into solemn heritage or heavy milestone drama. We deliberately took a light-hearted, observational route that reflects how modern Indian families actually interact. Backed by the iconic rhythm of ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’, the narrative turns festive indulgence into something completely natural, freeing and contagious, much like the feeling of beYon.”
The campaign builds on beYon’s proposition of making diamond jewellery less about milestones and more about personal choice. By combining laboratory-grown diamonds set in gold with relatable festive storytelling, the brand invites consumers to follow their instincts rather than wait for an occasion to make the purchase.
