Big Owl Pictures, an Australian production company, and Initium Productions, an Indian entertainment leader, have announced a strategic partnership to deliver original unscripted content for the Indian market. This collaboration aims to blend global expertise with local insights to create fresh, high-quality television formats for Indian audiences.
Over the next few years, the partnership will launch 25 innovative formats across a wide range of genres, including entertainment, dating, food, quiz, game, reality, sport, transactional, and survival.
Big Owl Pictures, led by Shaun Murphy, former Head of Television at Warner Bros Australia, is known for producing globally recognised formats such as The Masked Singer, The Bachelor, Celebrity Apprentice, and Dancing with The Stars. Shaun Murphy, Founder & CEO of Big Owl Pictures, commented on the partnership, saying “Each format we have created, we look at the broader life beyond the TV show, how it adapts to mobile, gaming, creative online community, tourist attraction, live event. Initium Productions, part of the Procam International group, is well-regarded for its work in live sports and entertainment, as well as augmented and virtual reality. Procam has also pioneered the running revolution in India with high-profile events such as the Tata Mumbai Marathon.

The deal was initiated by Sean Nicholls, former President of Octagon Asia Pacific and current CEO of Link Marketing & Management International (LMI).
