Bijliride has partnered with Flipkart Minutes to deploy electric two-wheelers for last-mile deliveries across five key markets ahead of the festive season. The rollout will happen in phases across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune.
The deployment will use a demand-led fleet model, with the number of electric vehicles adjusted based on delivery volumes and rider onboarding requirements. The partnership also supports Flipkart’s stated goal of moving towards 100% electric mobility by 2030 and its EV Assist initiative.
Bijliride currently has more than 6,000 electric vehicles deployed across India. As part of the partnership, the company will provide delivery partners with access to commercial EV rentals, battery swapping and doorstep battery delivery, fleet maintenance, 24/7 roadside assistance and telematics-based fleet management.
The model is also aimed at reducing operating costs for delivery partners by removing the need for upfront vehicle purchases. With fuel being a recurring cost for riders using internal combustion engine two-wheelers, the rental model allows delivery partners to switch to electric vehicles while reducing their operating cost per kilometre.
Shivam Sisodiya, Founder & CEO, Bijliride, said, “Accelerating EV adoption in commercial logistics is not simply about putting more electric two-wheelers on the road; it requires building a reliable, full-stack operational engine around those vehicles. In quick commerce, vehicle uptime directly impacts a delivery partner's livelihood. Our partnership with Flipkart Minutes is engineered to make green mobility practical, commercially viable, and scalable. By providing robust on-road support, battery infrastructure, and accessible rentals, we are ensuring that electric logistics delivers tangible economic value to both enterprise platforms and delivery executives.”
Ahead of the festive shopping period, Bijliride and Flipkart Minutes have also introduced rental benefits and prioritised vehicle availability for delivery partners. The initiative is aimed at enabling riders to spend more time on the road while reducing downtime related to maintenance and charging.
The partnership comes as quick commerce platforms prepare for higher delivery volumes during the festive season, with EV infrastructure and fleet availability becoming key considerations for last-mile operations.
