Bodhi Tree Multimedia has completed the purchase of a 50.01% stake in Moving Image Studios, positioning the studio as its digital-first storytelling lab.
The move aims to enhance BTML’s capabilities in creating youth-centric, platform-native, and unscripted formats, while expanding in-house intellectual property development. Moving Image Studios’ expertise in format-driven, audience-aligned content is expected to accelerate BTML’s production, packaging, and distribution across digital platforms.
The acquisition reinforces BTML’s strategy of agile, scalable content creation in a fragmented, platform-led landscape, enabling experimentation with new formats and strengthening the company’s presence in high-demand unscripted content for social, OTT, and short-form channels.
Commenting on the completion of the acquisition, Mautik Tolia, Managing Director & CEO, Bodhi Tree Multimedia Limited, said: “Our investment in Moving Image Studios is a strategic step towards building a more integrated and future-ready content ecosystem. Unscripted content is seeing significant traction across platforms, driven by its relatability, speed of production, and strong audience connect. With Moving Images, we are strengthening our ability to create high-quality, platform-native content while also building a robust pipeline of owned IP. This collaboration allows us to stay closer to evolving audience trends and unlock new growth opportunities in the digital space.”
