Bodhitree Multimedia Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Assam worth Rs 500 Crore to establish a Global Media and Cultural Hub in Guwahati. This strategic collaboration is set to transform Guwahati into a prominent centre for film, television, and cultural activities, substantially elevating Assam’s international profile.
The new media hub is expected to drive significant economic growth, generate employment, and enhance tourism in the region. Bodhitree Multimedia aims to strengthen India’s position as a global production powerhouse, marking this project as its second major production facility in the country. The Rs 500 crore investment will enable the company to make a more substantial contribution to the country’s growing entertainment and media landscape.
The planned facilities include an advanced Media City, a luxury seven-star wellness resort, and an immersive India Pavilion designed to showcase the nation's diverse culture. These state-of-the-art amenities will cater to the increasing demand for global media and entertainment infrastructure, positioning Assam as a prime destination for both leisure and business tourists.
