Bybit, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is the Title sponsor of the India Blockchain Tour 2025. The first of the eight events across major cities in India concluded in Hyderabad on 28th June, 2025. The launch of the event highlighted India’s position as a global leader in crypto adoption and set the stage for a more informed and inclusive blockchain future. The event witnessed participation from more than 1,000 Web3 builders, developers, traders, students, industry experts, and media representatives, building an ecosystem of learning, discussion, and engagement around Web3 and blockchain innovation.
The Hyderabad stop of IBT, organized by Octaloop, highlighted Bybit’s commitment to promoting responsible crypto adoption, enhancing education among blockchain enthusiasts, and building a strong community across the country, following its recent registration with the Financial Intelligence Unit- India (FIU-IND). The event also featured some notable speakers, including Jayesh Ranjan, Chief Secretary for Special Projects & Investment Cell, Government of Telangana, who addressed the gathering and discussed the evolving role of blockchain technology in India.
Vikas Gupta, Country Manager of Bybit India, delivered a keynote during the speaker’s session titled “From FOMO to Fundamentals: Fixing India’s Crypto Literacy Gap.” He addressed the urgent requirement for organized education in India’s high-growth crypto environment. During the session, he also highlighted the features of Bybit for learning and safe trading practices, including Bybit Learn and Demo Trading. He also announced hackathons and workshops in collaboration with top universities, including IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur.
India has huge potential to lead the global blockchain movement, said Vikas Gupta. He shared, “We are already seeing that India is leading the Global Crypto Adoption Index for the second consecutive year, far ahead of top countries like the U.S. and Brazil. What’s even more exciting is the way this growth is coming not only from the metro cities but also from Tier-2 cities such as Indore and Surat. Investors here are actively engaging in everything from Bitcoin and Ethereum to meme coins like DOGE, SHIB, and PEPE, and exploring DeFi. However, to continue the momentum, participation has to be informed, secure, and inclusive. At Bybit, we are committed to making Web3 more accessible through community engagement and grassroots education. Currently, India’s crypto market is on track to cross $15 billion by 2035, and we want to be a part of that journey.”
Bybit maintained a strong brand visibility throughout the event and conducted a crypto quiz. Along with it, the brand also organized various activities and campaigns to boost engagement and encouragement amongst the participants.
Bybit’s participation in IBT 2025 perfectly aligns with its mission to promote sustainable and community-based growth in India’s Web3 ecosystem. With stops planned across multiple cities in India, the next IBT event is scheduled for Ahmedabad on 26th July 2025, highlighting Bybit’s commitment to interact with the blockchain community at the grassroots level.
