Dainik Bhaskar has appointed Pawan Kumar Sharma as the Editorial-in-Charge of its Ambala unit. Prior to this, Sharma was serving as News Editor in Delhi, where he reported on key institutions including the Supreme Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Approximately two years ago, Sharma was promoted from Special Correspondent to News Editor. His latest appointment places him in charge of editorial operations in Ambala.
Originally from Sonipat, Haryana, Sharma has around 25 years of experience in journalism. He began his career in 2000 with Punjab Kesari in Sonipat, later working with Hari Bhoomi and then Dainik Jagran in Sonipat. During his time at Dainik Jagran, he introduced a column titled Raat Ka Reporter, which was subsequently adopted across all editions of the newspaper.
In 2005, Sharma joined Amar Ujala in Panchkula as a crime reporter, a role he held for about two years. In 2007, he returned to Dainik Jagran, where he covered various beats in Ludhiana, Patiala, and Delhi, before focusing on court reporting.
