DDB Mudra Appoints Priya Shivakumar as Creative Head

DDB Mudra has announced the appointment of Priya Shivakumar as the new Creative Head for the South region. In her role, Priya will collaborate closely with Rahul Mathew, Chief Creative Officer of DDB Mudra Group, and share leadership responsibilities with Menaka Menon, President – Growth and Strategy at DDB Mudra.

Joining from Wunderman Thompson (JWT), where she advanced from Executive Creative Director in Chennai to Chief Creative Officer (South), Priya brings over two decades of experience and a distinguished record in creative leadership. Her work has garnered numerous accolades, including Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils, One Show Pencils, and Spikes Asia awards. A notable recent achievement includes the impactful campaign “Hidden Truth,” which addresses domestic violence.

Commenting on her new position, Priya said, “I'm thrilled to join DDB Mudra and contribute to the legacy of creating culturally resonant brands. These are exciting times where storytelling can take new and unexpected forms—through technology, craft, or experience. I’m looking forward to leveraging the power of emotions in my work, driving choices, creating conversations, shaping markets, and rewriting brand stories.”

Rahul Mathew, Chief Creative Officer of DDB Mudra Group, remarked, “We have been evolving our offering in the South to go beyond national campaigns and provide specialised expertise for the five southern markets. We believe that enhancing our creativity will make our solutions even more effective. Priya will play a critical role in realising this vision for our South office. She has a unique ability to capture local and cultural nuances and execute them to international standards. I’m excited to have her partner with us on this journey.”
