Deconstruct Skincare has launched a contextual out-of-home (OOH) campaign in collaboration with Blinkit for its Gel Sunscreen, built around a culturally rooted insight.
Live across premium OOH sites near leading colleges, the campaign features the line: “Dear girls, woh khud sunscreen nahi lagayega,” paired with a call to action to order Deconstruct Gel Sunscreen via Blinkit. The creative draws on a familiar relationship dynamic, using humour to position sun protection as a socially relevant, everyday habit.
The activation is targeted at Gen Z consumers and is located across key campus hubs, where peer conversations and social sharing are more likely to amplify messaging. The campaign aims to drive engagement through organic formats such as photos, reels and stories.
The initiative reflects a broader shift in OOH advertising, where the medium is increasingly being used for contextual storytelling rooted in internet culture and behavioural insights, rather than traditional awareness-led messaging.
For Deconstruct, the campaign aligns with its approach of making skincare communication more accessible through relevance and relatability, while reinforcing sunscreen as an everyday essential during peak summer months.
Malini Adapureddy, Founder and CEO of Deconstruct said, “For Gen Z consumers, effective communication often comes through familiarity, humour and cultural cues rather than traditional product messaging. With this campaign, we wanted to turn a relatable social dynamic into a conversation around a real summer skincare habit, while making that reminder feel native to the way young people speak and share today. This collaboration with Blinkit, extends that idea by adding a utility layer, bringing together cultural relevance and convenience in a way that reflects evolving beauty purchase behaviour.”
The campaign will be supported by digital amplification and trade engagement, extending the conversation beyond physical OOH placements into wider discussions around youth culture and contextual marketing.
