Gillette India Limited, which owns brands such as Gillette, Venus and Oral B, has announced the appointment of Kapil Sharma as Vice President and Category Head – Grooming, effective 1 August 2025.
Sharma has been with Procter & Gamble (P&G) since 2001, and has worked across the United States, Asia Pacific, India, and the Middle East. His experience includes roles in digital commerce, brand strategy, go-to-market execution, and global sales.

Sharma holds an MBA from the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow.
He replaces Abhishek Desai, who has been promoted to a regional leadership role for Asia, Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai.
Desai has been with P&G for over 18 years, working in markets including India, Korea, ASEAN, Australia and China. In his recent role leading the Grooming business for Gillette India Limited, Gillette recorded double-digit growth and maintained its market share in the Blades and Razors segment.
