Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched a pioneering digital road safety education platform called E-Gurukul, designed to promote safe road practices among the younger generation. The initiative was officially launched in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honourable Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India.
The event was also attended by key Honda officials, including Mr. Vinay Dhingra, Senior Director – HR & Administration, HMSI, and Mr. Katsuyuki Ozawa, Director – HR & Administration at HMSI, alongside senior officials from Honda and state government representatives.
E-Gurukul offers targeted training modules tailored to three different age groups:
- 5-8 years: A 7-minute module
- 9-15 years: A 9-minute module
- 16-18 years: A 7-minute module
The platform is designed for accessibility and inclusivity, with modules available in multiple languages including Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and English. The platform is accessible at egurukul.honda.hmsi.in, and supports live streaming for Tier-1 cities, as well as downloadable content for Tier-2 cities.
Speaking about the launch, Mr. Vinay Dhingra, Senior Director at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “At Honda, road safety is central to our corporate social responsibility. E-Gurukul is designed to make road safety education accessible and engaging for young learners, helping foster a positive mindset around road safety from an early age. These young road safety champions will inspire their families and communities to be more responsible road users.”
