Hewlett-Packard (HP) has appointed Publicis Media as its new global media agency partner following a competitive review process.
The decision brings an end to HP's long-standing association with Omnicom Media Group, which had managed the account for nearly two decades. According to industry reports, the media business is valued at approximately $250 million.
The review is understood to have involved Publicis Media and Omnicom Media Group, with the final decision made earlier this year.
HP's relationship with Omnicom dates back to 2009, when PHD was awarded the company's global media business. The agency later expanded its remit by taking on digital media responsibilities in 2017 and successfully retained the account again in 2024.
The appointment marks a significant global media win for Publicis Media and comes amid continued consolidation and competition among major agency holding companies for large multinational accounts.
