HSBC Mutual Fund has launched #StayDiSIPlined, an investor education campaign aimed at encouraging investors, particularly millennials and Gen Z aged 25–45, to remain consistent with their SIP investments through different market cycles.
Built around the thought 'Discipline for life. DiSIPline for the future.', the campaign uses the word 'DiSIPlined' to integrate SIP into the idea of financial discipline. It draws on the observation that people tend to maintain discipline in areas where consequences are immediate, such as fitness, punctuality, bill payments and professional commitments, but can react emotionally to short-term market movements when investing for the future.
The digital film, created by Born Hi Digital, follows Arjun, a young man who is disciplined in his everyday life, from waking up before his alarm to maintaining his gym routine and parking perfectly. However, his behaviour changes when markets fluctuate, highlighting the contrast between his daily discipline and his investment decisions. The film ends with the line, 'Baaki sab mein disciplined ho… but Di-SIP-lined nahi ho.'
Commenting on the launch, Ankur Thakore, Chief Business Officer, HSBC Mutual Fund, said, “Markets will always move up and down, but reacting emotionally can derail long-term financial progress. With #Stay DiSIPlined’, we have tried to share this behavioural insight in a way that’s simple, relatable, and engaging. The goal is to help investors see SIPs as a consistent, disciplined habit, so they can stay focused on their long-term wealth goals.”
The campaign will be rolled out across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, along with digital, outdoor, print and activation-led initiatives.
#StayDiSIPlined is part of HSBC Mutual Fund’s broader investor education initiatives, following campaigns including #RetireToMore, SIP Hai #FaydeWaliAadat and Apne #SIPKoDoPromotion. The campaign seeks to encourage investors to look beyond short-term market movements and maintain a consistent approach to SIP investing as they work towards their long-term financial goals.
