ICICI Bank has approved the re-appointment of Sandeep Bakhshi as Managing Director and CEO for an additional two-year term, according to a regulatory filing.
The Board cleared his re-appointment for the period from 4 October 2026 to 3 October 2028. His current term is set to end on 3 October 2026.
The Board has also extended the tenure of Ajay Kumar Gupta as Executive Director by two years, from 27 November 2026 to 26 November 2028, following the completion of his existing term on 26 November 2026.
Bakhshi has been serving as MD and CEO of ICICI Bank since 15 October 2018. Before taking on the role, he was a Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer. He has spent over three decades with the ICICI Group and has held positions at ICICI Limited, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, ICICI Bank, and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
