IGP, a global direct-to-consumer gifting platform, will host the first edition of the IGP Cake Fest on Sunday, 8 June, from 2 PM to 8 PM at Versova Social, Mumbai. The event will bring together bakers and dessert enthusiasts for a community-focused gathering centred around cakes and baking.
A key feature of the event is the 'Battle of the Bakers', where participants will compete for a prize of Rs 1 lakh and the chance to have their cake featured on IGP’s D2C website, which serves a global customer base of over five million. Chef Natasha Gandhi, a top finalist on MasterChef India, will serve as the headline judge. Attendees will also participate in selecting the winner of the Popular Choice Award through live voting.
The event will include a stand-up performance by comedian Shreeja Chaturvedi, along with dessert tastings, live cake presentations, games, photo opportunities, and branded merchandise.
Speaking about the initiative, Tarun Joshi, Founder & CEO of IGP, said, “IGP has emerged as a leading platform in the cake category in India, delivering joy through thousands of celebrations every day. With Cake Fest, we’re creating a vibrant space for bakers and dessert lovers to connect, express, and be discovered. It’s a natural extension of our belief in celebrating people and their passions — and a step towards building a joyful, inclusive culture around cakes.”
IGP Cake Fest is positioned as a platform for emerging bakers, creators, and dessert enthusiasts. The event is open to the public but requires prior RSVP and invitation for entry.
