IIFL Finance, one of India’s largest non-banking financial companies, has rebranded seven existing branches into all-women staffed ‘Shakti’ branches in celebration of Women’s Day. The branches, located across the Delhi National Capital Region and Mumbai Metropolitan Region, highlight IIFL Finance’s dedication to empowering women in the financial services industry.
‘Shakti’ branches are a tribute to the strength and resilience of women, who play a crucial role in driving social and economic change in their communities. These branches will cater to all borrowers, while also offering financial literacy programs tailored specifically for female entrepreneurs.
These seven ‘Shakti’ branches, staffed entirely by women, aim to provide employment opportunities for female professionals, thereby strengthening diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). In addition to financial services, these branches will offer skill development programs to support women entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses.
“Women business owners are a vital force in India’s economy and form a significant segment of IIFL Finance’s customer base. Shakti branches reaffirm IIFL Finance’s commitment to extending credit and financial resources to small, unbanked, and underbanked borrowers, with a focus on women entrepreneurs. Women’s Day is the perfect occasion to introduce this initiative,” said an IIFL Finance spokesperson.
With a focus on financial inclusion, IIFL Finance serves millions of customers across India, particularly from underserved communities, through a network of over 2,800 branches.
