IMPACT has learned that Delhi-based full-service marketing agency Innocean India has sacked 15 employees. Amongst those who have been asked to leave are senior leaders holding designations like Executive Director and Business Head; Vice President and Head of OOH and Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing, as per sources. IMPACT has reached out to both sides, the senior leaders who have been asked to leave and Innocean but didn’t receive a response confirming the names from either side, at the time of filing the story.
Layoffs have impacted departments like Account Management, Creative, OOH, Digital Media and Automative Showroom functions.
Confirming the development on letting go of 15 employees, Innocean India told IMPACT, “Innocean India has undertaken a limited and planned organizational restructuring to better align with evolving business priorities and ensure the organization remains agile and future-ready. These decisions are never easy and are made after careful consideration. We are committed to handling this transition with the utmost care, respect, and full compliance, while extending appropriate support to affected employees. This step is part of a broader effort to strengthen our operational focus and continue delivering strong value to our clients, while building a sustainable foundation for long-term growth.”
Innocean India which is part of the global Innocean network is Hyundai Motor India Limited’s long-standing creative partner and was started as its dedicated in-house agency in India in 2005. It has over 200 employees and was in the process of opening an office in Mumbai and Bangalore to service non-Hyundai clients and has won several such accounts in the past few years. The agency in India is currently led by Jaeho Yoo (jaden) CEO, Innocean India and Santosh P Kumar, COO, Innocean India.
