Tejkarran Singh Bajaj has resigned from his role as SVP & Head – Originals at Jio Studios, ending a nearly seven-and-a-half-year stint with the studio.
At Jio Studios, Bajaj led the Originals business, overseeing the creative, strategic and commercial direction of premium content across genres, languages and platforms. He was also responsible for driving the studio’s originals slate across development, production, partnerships, licensing and monetisation, while helping build the vertical as part of the company’s OTT ambitions.
Before joining Jio Studios, Bajaj was associated with ZEE5 as Head – Original Content, where he led content strategy, development and execution across six languages.
Over the course of his career, he has also worked with advertising agency Maxus and NDTV.
While Bajaj’s next move has not been officially announced, industry sources indicate that he is likely to join a major content studio or media company in a CEO or senior leadership role in the coming weeks.
