Kangwook Lee has joined KRAFTON Inc. as the company’s first Chief AI Officer (CAIO), marking a key step in strengthening the gaming company’s artificial intelligence capabilities. Lee shared the announcement through a LinkedIn post.
Lee had been serving as Head of the Deep Learning Division at KRAFTON since April 2022. In his new role as Chief AI Officer, he will lead the company’s AI research and development initiatives, focusing on advancing artificial intelligence applications across gaming experiences and game development.
In addition to overseeing AI innovation at KRAFTON, Lee will guide long-term research in physical AI at the company’s new venture, Ludo Robotics, where he will serve as Chief Technology Officer.
Speaking about the new role, Lee said in his LinkedIn post, “In addition to making KRAFTON AI the best AI x Gaming organization, for longer-term goals, we are committed to conducting world-class R&D in physical AI, leveraging the intersection between the gaming and AI technology we have and physical AI.”
At KRAFTON, Lee will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing AI-driven gameplay experiences and supporting future projects such as PUBG Ally, while building long-term innovation capabilities at the intersection of gaming and artificial intelligence.
Lee’s appointment reflects KRAFTON’s continued focus on integrating advanced AI technologies into its gaming ecosystem and investing in future-ready innovation platforms.
