Kingfisher has rolled out a campaign that builds on a live cultural moment involving Parul Gulati and Karan Aujla, converting online engagement into an on-ground brand activation.
The campaign, conceptualised by Owled Media, follows a social media moment triggered by Gulati’s post around Aujla, which generated over 8 million organic views. The brand, already associated with Aujla’s tour, used the moment to integrate itself into the live concert experience.
As part of the activation, Gulati attended the concert wearing a custom T-shirt referencing the brand’s 'King of Good Times' positioning, linking the online conversation to the on-ground experience. The moment gained traction across social media, leading to meme-led engagement and user-generated content.

The campaign extended across multiple cities, including Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Mumbai, with creators amplifying the moment through platform-native content. According to the company, the approach focused on real-time participation rather than pre-planned storytelling.
Astha Punj, AVP – Campaigns, Owled Media, said, “This wasn’t about building a campaign around the concert, it was about recognising a moment people were already invested in and moving at its speed. When brands show up this way, they don’t interrupt culture, they become part of it.”
Jita Mohapatra, Senior Brand Experience Executive, United Breweries, said, “Every other marketing investment depreciates, culture compounds. In a world where attention is expensive and disposable, it isn’t just a strategy, it’s a brand’s only sustainable advantage.”
The campaign generated over 32 million reach, 32 million views, 400,000 engagements, and more than 230 pieces of content, as per the company.
The initiative reflects a broader shift towards real-time, moment-led marketing, where brands seek to integrate into ongoing cultural conversations rather than rely solely on planned campaigns.
