This Durga Puja, Kurkure®, PepsiCo bringing its signature chatpata flavour to the celebrations with a cultural takeover at the Brindamon Matri Mandir pandal. The brand is reimagining nostalgia with a street takeover, from a tram makeover to a yellow taxi and striking rooftop alponas.
At the centre of the festivities is the Kurkure® Tram, a recreation of one of Kolkata’s most iconic symbols. Decked up with festive lights, dhaak-inspired visuals, and even a karaoke adda corner, the tram offers pandal-hoppers a space to celebrate, connect and create memories together.
On Sukea Street, Kurkure® has crafted installations like a yellow taxi transformed into a photo booth, a mural that blends Bengal’s Pattachitra art with Kurkure®’s quirky personality, and an Alpona at the entrance to welcome visitors in festive style.
Sharing her thoughts, Aastha Bhasin, Marketing Director – Kurkure and Doritos, PepsiCo India, said, “Durga Pujo is one of the most iconic festivals, and we’re proud to have Kurkure be part of the celebrations in Kolkata with a curated immersive experience. Sharing the joy of Pujo with the Kolkatans, we are revisiting the city’s beloved icons – from trams to alponas, Kurkure style, creating an experience that is both playful and nostalgic. We invite everyone to experience the reimagined Sukea Street space, a vibrant adda, with more reasons to celebrate and have fun with loved ones.”
