Loca Loka, an India-based alcohol beverage company focused on tequila, has announced the appointment of three senior professionals to its leadership team. The move comes as the company prepares for further global expansion amid rising demand in the tequila category.
Rohit Srinivasan has been appointed Head of Marketing, Rajesh Israni as Head of Sales, and Ritesh Singh will take on the role of Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. The company stated that the appointments aim to support operational scaling, sales growth, and brand development.
Rohit Srinivasan, with over ten years of experience in marketing, will lead the company’s marketing strategy, brand development and campaign planning.
Rajesh Israni brings more than thirty years of experience across marketing and sales in the alcoholic beverages sector. He will oversee sales channels including on-trade, off-trade, and travel retail, focusing on distribution and customer engagement.
Ritesh Singh has worked in logistics and supply chain management for more than fifteen years. He will be responsible for logistics operations, vendor management and compliance, with a focus on improving efficiency and supporting global expansion.
Speaking on the new appointments, Rajiv Ghumman, Global Business Head, Loca Loka, said, “At Loca Loka, we believe in blending cultures, ideas and expertise to create something extraordinary. Bringing Rohit, Rajesh and Ritesh into the fold, we are merging deep-rooted expertise with bold, fresh perspectives to supercharge our global expansion. Together, we’re not just building a brand but telling a cross-cultural story that resonates with today’s globally curious consumer.”
In the past six months, Loca Loka has expanded its distribution in the United States to Nevada, Washington DC, Maryland, and Massachusetts. It is also planning to enter the Indian market in Q4 2025 via select urban centres and duty-free outlets, with a target of one million bottles over three years. Southeast Asia has also been identified as a new area for growth.
The company’s Tequila Blanco and Reposado received awards at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, with Blanco earning Gold and Reposado receiving Silver. Further recognition came at the New York International Spirits Competition and the WSWA Wine & Spirits Tasting Competition in Denver.
Loca Loka recently secured $12.5 million in funding from a Singapore-based family office to support research, product development, and international expansion.
The global tequila market is projected to grow from $13.5 billion in 2024 to $24.2 billion by 2029, with premium tequila expected to reach $12.4 billion by 2033. The category’s growth is being driven by interest in agave-based spirits, cocktail innovation, and demand from younger consumers.
Loca Loka currently offers two products: Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado, priced at $40 and $49 respectively.
