Lodestar UM observed its annual Impact Day on July 10 by turning its offices into platforms for social inclusion and community engagement. This year, the media agency focussed on supporting underrepresented groups by inviting NGOs, shelter homes, and orphanages to set up pop-up stalls across its offices in India.
The initiative was part of Lodestar UM’s ongoing global Impact Day program, which was launched in 2016 and is rooted in the company’s “Better World” framework. The framework focuses on three core pillars: Equity, Sustainability, and Wellness.
In line with this year’s theme, “Community,” the agency provided space free of cost to organizations working with women and children from underserved backgrounds. These stalls featured a variety of handmade products including accessories, home décor items, pickles, crochet goods, and upcycled crafts. Proceeds from the sales were directed entirely to the participating NGOs to support their ongoing efforts.
“Impact Day is Lodestar UM’s commitment to building a better world, engaging our teams across the globe,” said Aditi Mishra, CEO, Lodestar UM. “This year we focused on extending a platform to underrepresented groups providing an opportunity for them to showcase their talent and skills. Not only was this a break from the busy every day for our teams, the participation across our offices and the fun interactions were a step towards contributing to a better future for everyone.”
Organisations that took part included Etasha Society, Spastics Society of Karnataka, Little Angels, Vidya NGO, Srujna, Shraddha Charitable Trust, and Aseema Foundation.
In previous years, Lodestar UM’s Impact Day has spotlighted causes such as e-waste recycling in partnership with RPlanet in 2022 and plastic upcycling with Ecokaari in 2023. These annual efforts reflect the agency’s broader commitment to sustainability, equity, and wellness, both within the workplace and the wider community.
