Love Beauty & Planet, a vegan haircare brand under Unilever, organised what it claims to be India’s first Pet Rave at Mannheim Craft Brewery in Whitefield. The event drew over 300 pet parents and around 200 pets — more than double the initially expected turnout.
The brand, known for its 100% vegan and PETA-certified cruelty-free stance, used the event to underscore its position against animal testing. “At Love Beauty & Planet, we’ve always believed that beauty should never come at the cost of our values,” said Sairam Subramanian, VP – Haircare, Unilever. “Our products are a testament to that belief – delivering stunning results while staying true to our commitment to vegan, cruelty-free, and ethically sourced formulations. The Pet Rave was a vibrant celebration of this philosophy, proving that kindness, conscious choices, and high-performance hair care can beautifully coexist.”
As interest in ethical consumption continues to grow, the event aimed to offer a space for individuals to engage with the brand’s principles in a more direct way. Acknowledging the role of pets in many households, the setup was designed to involve both pets and their owners.
The activities at the event included scent bars for dogs, hair styling stations for both pets and their owners, caricature portrait stalls, calligraphy bottle personalisation, a photo booth, and a designated play area. The brand stated that these elements were chosen to reflect its focus on cruelty-free practices and sustainable living.
Love Beauty & Planet positioned the Pet Rave as a representation of its broader mission. Through product demonstration zones and interactive experiences, the company aimed to demonstrate how its values translate into consumer engagement.
