MAGGI has launched a new campaign for World Environment Day, focusing on responsible plastic waste disposal. The campaign delivers its message through visuals that show everyday items placed in settings where they do not belong, such as shoes in a refrigerator, sunglasses in a microwave, and a laptop on a clothesline. The aim is to underline the importance of putting things in their proper place, including waste.
The film is part of the wider “2-minute desh ke naam” initiative, which encourages people to take small daily actions towards better waste management. It also outlines MAGGI’s approach to plastic waste, stating that the brand collects and recycles an amount of plastic equivalent to what it uses in its packaging.
Ms. Rupali Rattan, Head, Foods business, Nestlé India, said, “For many decades, MAGGI has been a cherished part of Indian households — a connection we value deeply. This campaign encourages a positive behavioural shift that can lead to long-term positive impact. With this campaign, we urge everyone to take a small step — starting with just two minutes of mindful action each day so that we can responsibly collect and dispose for rightful re-use of waste.”
MAGGI’s campaign aligns with its ongoing sustainability efforts, aiming to raise awareness about plastic waste management and promote better disposal practices.
