Mercedes-Benz India has announced the India leg of its global "140 Years. 140 Places." world tour, celebrating 140 years since Carl Benz patented the world's first automobile. The transcontinental journey, featuring three Mercedes-Benz S-Class luxury limousines, will begin in India this July after travelling more than 60,000 kilometres across six continents and over 55 countries.
Named Gotlieb, Carl and Bertha, the three S-Class models will travel across some of India's most iconic destinations, showcasing the country's cultural heritage, architectural landmarks, geographical diversity and spirit of innovation. The routes will span locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jammu, Leh, Hampi, Coorg, Varanasi, Jaipur and Pune, with one leg extending into Bhutan.
The initiative commemorates Mercedes-Benz's 140-year legacy of engineering excellence while positioning the S-Class as the brand's flagship symbol of innovation, luxury and technological progress.
