Metro Brands launches its first Foot Locker store in New Delhi, while Nykaa Fashion unveils Foot Locker's e-commerce site, enhancing sneaker culture in India

Metro Brands Launches First Foot Locker Store in India Amid Nykaa's Ecommerce Debut

Metro Brands Ltd. has officially launched its inaugural Foot Locker India store at Nexus Select City Walk in Saket, New Delhi, alongside the unveiling of the Foot Locker India e-commerce site on footlocker.co.in and the Nykaa Fashion platform. The launch event, held on 18 October, attracted sneaker enthusiasts and fashion-forward individuals, marking a significant entry into the Indian market.

The Foot Locker store opened to customers on 19 October, offering exclusive giveaways and customization experiences. With a focus on global sneaker drops, premium apparel, and accessories, Foot Locker aims to create a dynamic retail environment in India through exclusive licences with Metro Brands Limited and Nykaa Fashion.

Alisha Malik, President of Metro Brands Limited, stated, “The response to Foot Locker’s launch in India has been incredibly exciting. Our focus has always been on meeting the evolving needs of the Indian consumer and creating a space where they can shop for globally aspirational products in a multi-brand environment. The overwhelmingly positive reception confirms that we are on the right path. We're excited to elevate the sneaker culture in India – Game on!”

Adwaita Nayar, Co-founder and CEO of Nykaa Fashion, added, “As Foot Locker makes its official debut in India, Nykaa Fashion is thrilled to empower sneaker lovers with unparalleled access through our advanced digital platforms. This partnership isn’t just about bringing a top global brand to India; it is about shaping the future of sneaker culture here.”

The launch event featured immersive activities from various brands, including art customisations by adidas Originals, nail art by FILA, live painting by Asics, and a digital basketball engagement with musical performances from Fotty Seven and Ma Faiza. Additionally, PUMA India launched new drops from the Fenty by Rihanna collection.

Spanning 4,888 sq. ft., the Foot Locker store showcases a "Reimagined" concept that connects youth, culture, and communities through curated offerings. The store is expected to play a pivotal role in community engagement and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

The Foot Locker store will be open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM at the first floor of Nexus Select City Walk, Saket, New Delhi.

Design Matrix was instrumental in the store's successful launch, ensuring a vibrant retail environment that aligns with Foot Locker's brand identity.
