MY FM has launched its radio stations in Bhuj and Gandhidham, becoming the first private radio station to operate in both cities. The stations were officially inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel.
The launch marks an expansion of MY FM’s presence in Gujarat. The network is part of the Dainik Bhaskar group and has outlined plans to expand into a 44-station radio network across the country.
At the launch event, Shri Bhupendra Patel spoke about the role of radio in social awareness and community development, noting its ability to reach people at the grassroots level and support cultural identity.
The Bhuj and Gandhidham stations will broadcast entertainment programmes, local news, interactive shows and community-focused initiatives. MY FM stated that its programming approach encourages listener participation and engagement in daily content.
The event was attended by dignitaries, industry representatives and members of MY FM’s leadership team, who spoke about the organisation’s focus on producing content tailored to local audiences.
“Radio remains one of the most powerful mediums to connect directly with people. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi truly understands the strength of radio, which is evident through Mann Ki Baat, the radio program that reaches crores of citizens and reinforces the unmatched reach and credibility of radio as a medium,” said Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat.
According to the company, the new stations aim to provide a platform for local voices, artists and businesses, while offering music and discussion-based programming to listeners.
