Mythik, a technology-led entertainment company from India, has announced the formation of its Global Advisory Board. The board includes six professionals from the media, entertainment, and technology sectors with experience at companies such as SoftBank, Disney, Marvel, Amazon and Crunchyroll.
The members of the Global Advisory Board are:
- Alok Sama, former President of SoftBank Group, who led the acquisition of ARM Holdings for $34 billion and the merger of Sprint and T-Mobile for $59 billion.
- Kun Gao, Co-Founder and former CEO of Crunchyroll, who led the development of the anime and manga-focused OTT platform acquired by Sony Entertainment for $1.2 billion.
- Nick Van Dyk, former SVP of Corporate Strategy at The Walt Disney Company, who was involved in acquisitions including Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion, Pixar for $7 billion and Lucasfilm (Star Wars) for $4 billion.
- Bill Jemas, former COO of Marvel Entertainment, who was involved in the turnaround of the company prior to its sale to Disney.
- John Lynch, former Global Head of Production & Operations at Amazon Studios, who oversaw global production and operations with a film and television budget of over $20 billion.
- Gui Karyo, former Chief Information Officer at Marvel Entertainment and Dapper Labs, who contributed to Marvel’s business transformation and the development of Dapper Labs.
The board will advise Mythik’s management team across areas including media finance, corporate strategy, technology, intellectual property development, production, licensing, marketing and distribution.
