Naomi Michael has announced that she will join Publicis Groupe as Chief Communications Officer for Asia-Pacific, starting next week. In her new role, she will work closely with Jane Lin-Baden and the broader APAC leadership team at the advertising and communications network.
“This Lunar New Year marks the start of a new chapter for me. Really happy to share that I’ll be stepping into the role of Chief Communications Officer APAC at Publicis Groupe next week,” Michael wrote in her LinkedIn post.
Michael brings nearly two decades of experience in marketing, communications and media across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and Australia. She most recently served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for IPG Mediabrands APAC, a role she held since 2017. During her tenure, she led integrated communications strategies aimed at strengthening brand visibility and connectivity across the regional network.
Prior to that, Michael was Head of Marketing and Communications at IPG Mediabrands APAC, where she oversaw communications initiatives and co-chaired the IPG Women’s Leadership Network Singapore chapter.
Earlier in her career, she held several senior marketing and communications roles within the Omnicom Media Group network, including National Marketing and Communications Director at OMD Worldwide Australia and National Marketing and Communications Manager at Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific. She has also worked with global organisations such as The Walt Disney Company and the Financial Times.
Beyond her corporate work, Michael is involved in social and nonprofit initiatives. She currently serves as a board member for the Myanmar chapter of Pencils for Kids, a nonprofit organisation that provides school supplies and uniform support to children in developing countries to help them attend school.
