The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the rollout of a new multi-platform streaming offering alongside a reimagined NBA TV, both set to go live on October 15. Available through the NBA App, the platform will deliver nonstop basketball coverage including live games, original shows, highlights, and global basketball content, serving as a comprehensive digital home for the sport.
At the center of the relaunch is The Association, a new weeknight primetime “basketball-cast” hosted by MJ Acosta-Ruiz, David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes, and John Wall, among other contributors. The program will serve as the flagship show, celebrating the game, its players, and basketball culture while keeping fans informed on league news, analysis, and storylines as they develop in real time.
“NBA TV and the NBA App are designed to be a connected, global hub for basketball coverage, delivering nonstop access to live games, original programming, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content,” said Sara Zuckert, Senior Vice President and Head of NBA App at the NBA. “The NBA App streaming platform will provide a seamless, always-on digital experience for fans to access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
The new NBA App and NBA TV will offer a full slate of live games and competitions, providing fans more basketball action than ever before. Coverage will include the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, top international leagues, and premier high school competitions featuring emerging players. NBA TV will broadcast 60 NBA regular-season games, beginning Oct. 25, when the defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder face the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The programming lineup will also feature Future Starts Now, spotlighting top U.S. high school basketball tournaments and prospects, offering fans a look at future NBA talent. Complementing the live games, a mix of analysis and behind-the-scenes content will bring fans closer to teams and players. Programs will include Real Training Camp, offering exclusive access to training sessions with teams such as the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers.
Narrated by Thunder All-Star Jalen Williams, Loud City: The OKC Thunder’s Championship Season will chronicle the team’s journey to their dramatic seven-game NBA Finals victory over the Indiana Pacers. Another segment, Coaches Corner, will feature one-on-one interviews between former NBA player and ESPN analyst Tim Legler and various NBA head coaches, providing insights into leadership and strategy across the league.
In addition to live programming, the platform will aggregate top NBA podcasts and shows including Thinking Basketball, No Ceilings, The NBA Front Office Show, and The Athletic’s NBA Daily. Creator-driven and community-powered content will also feature prominently, highlighting voices such as Bree Green, Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews, Jesser, Jenna Bandy, and Tristan Jass, further expanding fan engagement through diverse perspectives within the basketball community.
The 2025–26 NBA season will also include several programming highlights on NBA TV, including three tripleheaders, beginning Dec. 20 with the Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets (5 p.m. ET), followed by the Charlotte Hornets vs. Detroit Pistons (7:30 p.m. ET) and the Los Angeles Lakers vs. LA Clippers (10:30 p.m. ET). NBA TV will also air a full day of games on New Year’s Eve, starting with the Golden State Warriors vs. Charlotte Hornets (1 p.m. ET), followed by the Phoenix Suns vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (3:30 p.m. ET), and concluding with the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trail Blazers (8 p.m. ET).
All live NBA and WNBA games on NBA TV will be available via an NBA TV subscription through the NBA App. Fans will also have access to NBA G League matchups, WNBA games, and select international basketball events, extending the NBA’s digital ecosystem into a year-round, globally connected viewing experience.
