Paul John Whisky has launched Kaarigari, a cultural platform centred on Indian craftsmanship, with its debut event held in Bengaluru. The multi-sensory showcase took place at The Humming Tree and brought together whisky, music, poetry and material artistry in a curated, immersive format.
The evening was designed as a structured, story-led experience, where each element unfolded alongside specific whisky expressions. The opening walkthrough drew parallels between wooden craftsmanship and whisky-making processes, introducing guests to the brand’s Nirvana expression. This was followed by a ceremonial opening pour of the Brilliance expression by Heemanshu Ashar, Global Ambassador, marking the formal start of the showcase.
A key highlight of the event was a collaborative performance by poet Priya Malik and sitar artist Mehtaab Ali Niazi, which coincided with the serving of the PX expression. The programme continued with a curated culinary spread inspired by regional Indian flavours, before concluding with the Madeira expression as the closing note of the evening.
“Kaarigari by Paul John visitor centre is a reflection of our deep-rooted belief in Indian craftsmanship. Through this initiative, we are creating a space where traditional art forms can be rediscovered, reimagined and experienced by a wider audience,” said Paul P John, Chairman, Paul John Indian Single Malt Whisky.
The company said Kaarigari is intended as an ongoing cultural platform that celebrates craftsmanship across disciplines, aligning with the brand’s philosophy. The Bengaluru edition marks the first in a series of curated experiences that will be expanded to other editions going forward.
