Paul & Mike, India’s trailblazing farm-to-bar chocolate brand, has made history by securing its first-ever Gold at the prestigious 2024 International Chocolate Awards. This milestone is significant not only for the brand but for India’s chocolate industry, marking the country’s first Gold win in this highly competitive global event.
The award-winning creation, Milk Chocolate Coated Salted Capers, is a unique blend of innovation and sustainability. It features premium Lilliput capers sourced from Tuticorin on India’s East Coast and high-quality cacao grown in the lush Western Ghats. This extraordinary combination offers an exceptional flavour profile, balancing salty umami with the caramelly sweetness of milk chocolate, and the crunch of capers against creamy chocolate. The product, developed over three years in collaboration with Ishka Farms, showcases India’s rich terroirs and the craftsmanship of two pioneering farm-to-fork brands.
Vikas Temani, Head of Business at Paul & Mike, shared, "Winning Gold at the hyper-competitive International Chocolate Awards is a dream realised. It underscores our dedication to crafting world-class chocolates that celebrate Indian ingredients and innovation. This prestigious recognition not only honours our journey but also places Indian chocolate firmly on the global stage. We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters who made this milestone possible."
This historic win highlights the growing recognition of Indian chocolate craftsmanship, with Paul & Mike’s Milk Chocolate Coated Salted Capers standing as a testament to creativity and excellence in the chocolate-making world.
