Prashant Iyer, Director – Films & Series Marketing at Netflix, has stepped down from his role after almost eight years with the streaming platform.
Iyer announced his departure through a heartfelt LinkedIn post, where he reflected on his journey with the company.
He wrote, “After close to 8 years, my time at Netflix has come to an end. It's been the kind of journey I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. I walked into a tiny office at The Capital in BKC in 2018, greeted by one person and a plant my manager had left me. Fast forward to today: the transformation has been extraordinary, both for the business and me personally.”
Over the years, Iyer played a key role in building and leading marketing strategies for Netflix’s films and series in India. From brand storytelling to large-scale digital and influencer campaigns, he helped shape the platform’s voice in an increasingly competitive streaming market.
Prior to Netflix, Iyer worked with global and Indian brands such as Nike and Titan Company, bringing with him extensive experience across brand marketing, social and digital media, influencer collaborations, content strategy, and analytics.
Known for his leadership and insight-driven approach, Iyer’s exit marks a significant move within the entertainment and marketing industry. His next professional step is yet to be announced.
