Prittec is stepping up its India play with Unaez Quraishi as Country Head, as the Taiwan-based computing company prepares to expand its branded product portfolio in the country.
Known for its range of laptops, All-in-One PCs, Mini PCs, monitors, motherboards and related hardware, Prittec has been present in India through its operations for some time. It is now bringing its own branded products to the market, manufactured locally under a Made in India approach.
The company’s India strategy centres on value for money, with a focus on younger, technology-fluent consumers. Its portfolio is being positioned around AI-enabled computing, reflecting what Prittec sees as a growing shift towards more technology-oriented devices among Indian buyers.
Quraishi’s mandate covers the Indian market, with Prittec looking to expand its computing portfolio across institutional, retail and commercial channels. The range includes high-performance laptops, All-in-One PCs, Mini PCs, enterprise desktop systems and commercial display monitors, alongside integrated IT hardware solutions. The company also plans to deepen its presence across Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
Quraishi brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role. He was instrumental in launching ASUS in India and has held senior assignments with Acer Saudi Arabia, Microsoft Saudi Arabia and AMD. His experience also includes operational responsibility across Qatar, Oman and Bahrain, as well as nationwide distribution leadership for smartphone brands including Motorola and Lenovo.
“I am genuinely excited to bring this brand into India. Consumers here have grown considerably more technology-oriented, and the segment of educated, value-conscious buyers wanting high-end products keeps expanding. Given how strong our technology is and how cost-effective our offering is, this feels like precisely the right moment for a brand like Prittec to enter this market,” says Quraishi.
He sees the current volatility in supply as another opportunity for the brand. “The market right now is fairly unsettled, and the availability of the right products simply isn't where it should be. What we're bringing to the table, both in price and in quality, is something buyers haven't really had access to before. It's a level of value that others aren't yet able to match.”
For Prittec, the India strategy is intended as a long-term play. “Our approach here is built for the long term, not a quick play. The products are made in India, and there is significant investment behind this. Our objective is simple: give consumers genuinely high-quality products at an affordable price, across a wide range,” Quraishi adds.
The company is also leaning on its manufacturing capabilities as a differentiator. “We are direct manufacturers, with a substantial facility of our own, and that gives us a depth of product and technology knowledge we can now bring to this market.”
Prittec already has a service centre network in place in India and has launched three to four models, with more products expected to follow.
With local manufacturing, an AI-led product proposition and plans to expand beyond major markets, Prittec is positioning its India entry around a straightforward pitch: more technology at a price it believes Indian consumers can afford.
