Radio City, India's leading radio network, has unveiled the 16th season of its iconic talent hunt, Radio City Super Singer (RCSS). This year’s competition is set to be a landmark event, with auditions spanning 39 cities, a blend of on-air, digital, and on-ground activations, and exclusive coverage on Jio TV.
For 15 years, RCSS has served as a launchpad for India’s most talented singers, offering a platform where aspiring artists can chase their dreams and gain recognition in the highly competitive music industry. This season’s theme, "Aapki Success ki Shuruat Humse Hai," promises to take the journey of talent discovery to new heights, culminating in a grand finale that will showcase India’s brightest musical stars.
The return of Padma Shri Kailash Kher as the mentor adds further prestige to the competition. Known for his immense contribution to spiritual and film music, Kher's mentorship has been instrumental in guiding previous contestants to stardom. Alongside Kher, musical legends such as Daler Mehendi, Shahid Mallya, Jasmeet Jassi, and Salim-Sulaiman have contributed to the show’s success, further elevating its stature as a cultural phenomenon.
Ashit Kukian, CEO of Radio City, commented, “At Radio City, we are always focused and passionate about supporting novel ideas. Radio City Super Singer is not merely a competition but a platform that identifies and cherishes extraordinary talents from all corners of our diverse nation. As we move further towards the 16th edition, we invite all upcoming singers, regardless of their background or location, to step onto the stage and showcase their unique musical expressions. Together, let’s craft a melody that echoes with millions and inspires the NextGen musical rockstars.”
This year, RCSS is ramping up its outreach with Innova activations, canter activities, roadshows, and on-ground activities at R City Mall, aimed at engaging more participants and audiences across the country. Digital promotions will be carried out through a microsite, web banners, and active engagement on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, while Jio TV will feature exclusive short clips and ads on its 24x7 TV RC Studio.
Kailash Kher, reflecting on his continued role in the competition, said, “Being part of Radio City Super Singer over the past few seasons has been immensely gratifying. Watching budding talents grow into confident performers is truly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity to mentor these talented individuals once again. Guiding them on their journey to discover and showcase their musical abilities fills me with joy. Each season brings fresh energy and passion, and I’m excited to continue supporting and nurturing the next generation of stars on their musical voyage.”
