As everyday nutrition preferences in India continue to shift towards food that balances health goals with taste and familiarity, TeinPro has entered the health food segment with the launch of its first protein bar. Conceptualised by Chinmay Barik, Raghav Gupta, and Kshitij Shokeen, with actor Randeep Hooda joining as a core investor, the brand is positioning itself at the intersection of performance nutrition and daily wellness.
While protein is commonly associated with gym-focused consumption, its role extends to energy regulation, metabolism and immunity. However, traditional Indian diets, often high in carbohydrates, frequently fall short of recommended protein intake levels, particularly among vegetarian consumers. TeinPro’s protein bar has been developed to supplement everyday diets without requiring significant changes to existing food preferences.
The product is formulated without added sugar or preservatives and includes magnesium, zinc, antioxidants and ashwagandha extracts, aimed at supporting sustained energy and mental focus. Positioned as suitable for consumption between meals, post-workout or during workdays, the bar is intended to serve both functional nutrition and casual snacking occasions.
Speaking about the protein bar and their brand vision, TeinPro’s leadership said, “We saw a gap between performance nutrition and everyday nutrition, and that’s how TeinPro was born. Our goal was to create a bar that acknowledges our regular lifestyle and food habits. TeinPro is crafted with equal focus on taste as on nutrition. The Protein as well as energy bars offers natural sweetness that satisfies even the post-meal sweet cravings, all while providing nutrition. TeinPro’s intent is not excess, but adequacy. That’s exactly what we’re achieving with our protein bar.”
For Hooda, the investment reflects an alignment with the brand’s positioning around balance and long-term wellbeing. Known for physically demanding roles in films such as Sarbjit, Sultan, Highway and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, his association with TeinPro is rooted in a shared focus on physical discipline and everyday fitness.
Highlighting TeinPro’s positioning and his personal confidence in the product, Hooda said, “What I love about TeinPro is that it doesn’t treat protein as only a gym or workout thing, it’s wholesome and is crafted keeping Indian lifestyle, our eating habits and the nutrition gaps in mind. As an actor, I have always tried to back characters and my work with honesty and wanted to bring the same authenticity to TeinPro protein and energy bars. Yes, it supports performance, but it also considers the everyday demands we put our bodies through. This balance is truly great. I was in search for a healthy snack alternative and I am glad I am launching the perfect one!!”
With this launch, TeinPro enters a competitive protein-snacking market that is increasingly seeing convergence between indulgence formats and functional nutrition, reflecting broader shifts in how Indian consumers approach everyday health and food choices.
