Nazara Technologies has appointed Raymond A. Stauffer as its Chief Executive Officer, with founder Nitish Mittersain continuing in his role as Managing Director as the gaming company prepares for its next phase of growth.
Stauffer shared the development on LinkedIn, expressing his excitement about taking on the new role at what he described as “the first and only publicly listed gaming company in India.”
Stauffer highlighted Nazara’s growing portfolio of gaming businesses and entrepreneurs, noting that he had the opportunity to work closely with the founders and teams of Bluetile and Bestplay after the two companies became part of the Nazara Group. He said he had been impressed by the talent, ambition and energy across the organisation.
He also thanked Mittersain, the board and Nazara’s investors for their trust and said he looked forward to working with the company’s teams to take Nazara to the next level and build a leading global gaming group.
Stauffer joined Nazara following the inclusion of Bluetile and Bestplay in the group’s portfolio. He previously co-founded Barcelona-based Bluetile and has been associated with digital entertainment venture Share Hive.
Before moving into entrepreneurship, Stauffer spent more than four years at Google, where he held several leadership positions within its Trust & Safety organisation. His roles included Trust & Safety Team Lead, where he oversaw teams working on protecting Google Search users and improving search quality.
The leadership change comes as Nazara continues to expand its presence across gaming, esports and interactive entertainment, with Stauffer and Mittersain set to lead the company through its next phase of growth and global expansion.
