Safed Detergent has released a Durga Puja film centred on kindness, inclusion and the role of small gestures in making festive celebrations more meaningful. The film follows a mother who, while shopping for her son, notices a young boy serving tea at a store and gifts him a kurta so he can also be part of the festivities.
The campaign is anchored in the brand’s thought, “Kuch Daag Hatate Hai, Kuch Bhed Mitate Hai. Iss Tyohar Chalo Milkar Khushiyan Phelate Hai.” It draws a parallel between removing stains, a central function of detergent, and breaking social barriers through acts of generosity.
The narrative moves away from the conventional focus on festive shopping and family gatherings to highlight how everyday interactions can reflect empathy and care. The mother’s gesture serves as the film’s central message, suggesting that the spirit of celebration lies not only in what families bring home but also in the happiness they share with others.
Motherhood forms the core of the narrative, with the mother’s actions representing care that extends beyond her immediate family. By treating the young boy with the same warmth and consideration as her own son, she embodies the film’s message of equality and compassion.
For Safed Detergent, the campaign reflects the belief that a mother’s love and compassion transcend social differences. Through the story, the brand links its association with removing stains to a broader message about looking beyond differences and making everyone feel included during the festive season.
Commenting on the campaign, Ritum Jain, Director, Shantinath Detergents Pvt. Ltd., said, “At Safed, we believe that an unbiased mother is the truest reflection of our core values. She has the purest heart, one that looks beyond daag and bhed, and sees every child with the same love, care and compassion. For a mother, kindness does not stop at her own family. Through this film, we wanted to celebrate this beautiful spirit of motherhood and remind everyone that the true joy of festivals lies in looking beyond differences and spreading happiness together.”
