Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, has launched “Galaxy Empowered,” a unique community-led programme aimed at upskilling teachers, principals, and administrators in India. The initiative, designed to integrate technology into education, will empower educators with blended learning events, hands-on training, and mentorship opportunities.
The programme, launched with the presence of Abhinav Bindra, legendary shooter and 2008 Olympic Gold Medallist, is intended to foster innovation, critical thinking, and student engagement, in line with India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
"Galaxy Empowered" is designed to prepare teachers for the classrooms of tomorrow, providing them with the necessary tools to embrace modern pedagogies and digital tools. Through recurring online and on-ground learning events, educators will be empowered to create technology-driven learning environments. The programme, which is free for both teachers and schools, aims to make advanced educational resources accessible without financial barriers.

Since December 2024, over 2,700 teachers across India have received certificates through live training sessions under "Galaxy Empowered". The programme aims to reach 20,000 teachers by 2025, with the Delhi phase successfully conducted across 250 schools. Specialized trainers and academicians have been appointed to support educators through the initiative, in partnership with Mahattattva Educational Advisory and STTAR.

The "Galaxy Empowered" programme is built around three key pillars – Technology Upskilling, Experiential Learning, and Peer-to-Peer Networking. These core elements ensure teachers across all levels, from preparatory to secondary education, have access to targeted support to excel in their teaching environments.
Technology Upskilling: The programme offers flexible online training sessions, bootcamps, and a comprehensive library of resources, enabling educators to integrate the latest digital tools, gamification strategies, and virtual classrooms into their teaching.
Hands-On Training and Certification: Educators will participate in hands-on workshops and receive certification upon completion, allowing them to enhance their skills in curriculum design and educator well-being.
Collaboration and Networking: Teachers will gain access to a dynamic community of educators, peer-to-peer networking, and exclusive industry events featuring thought leadership in education.
