YRF Entertainment, the streaming division of Yash Raj Films, has appointed Saugata Mukherjee as Head of Content. He will report to Akshaye Widhani.
Mukherjee will oversee content development across films and series as the company expands its presence in the streaming space. YRF Entertainment has previously produced titles including The Romantics, The Railway Men and Mandala Murders.

Yogendra Mogre will continue as Executive Producer and will lead production at YRF Entertainment, working alongside Mukherjee and Widhani on upcoming projects.
Prior to this, Mukherjee served as Head of Content and Executive Vice President at SonyLIV, where he led content strategy, commissioning and original programming across genres and languages.
During his tenure, the platform expanded its slate with titles such as Scam 1992, Maharani, Rocket Boys, Gullak and Freedom at Midnight, with the portfolio collectively receiving multiple industry awards. His productions Aarya and Rocket Boys were also nominated at the International Emmy Awards.
Earlier in his career, Mukherjee was involved in the India market entry of HBO Max and was part of the founding leadership team of Hotstar, now JioHotstar.
His experience includes work across platform launches, content strategy, digital transformation and building creative teams within the streaming ecosystem.
